Ok, this is an EASY one!
WHAT: PAINTED BRADS
TOOLS: Cheap large silver or gold brads and either spray paint or nailpolish. Don't buy them too small - too hard to work with, but don't buy HUMUNGOUS ones either. LOL! A nice medium size will work! I just measured one I had and it was about 3 cenitmeters across - so not the mini brads that are 1/8.
How many? Depending on how many particpants there are, we'll make enough for 10 for each person. The number of packs you will need will depend on how many people sign up.
Tips: Make sure you scuff up the brads real well. To paint them, I stuck them in styrofoam and then painted them. It took me two coats.
Challenge: Find some COOL colors! We can all buy the normal colors - get crazy! Krylon makes textured paint - fun stuff! You may even get REALLY crazy and paint the brads and then polka dot them or doodle patterns on them! The possiblities are endless.
When you sign up - make sure you indicate what color you're doing so that we don't duplicate and get a WIDE variety.
Due Date: March 15th - in time for them to get back to you for circle journals or whatever you'd like!
K, Ladies - Let's have some bradalicious fun!
SIGN UP LIST: 1. Sarah - Lime green embossing 2. Sarah - sugar candy dipped 3. Ruby - Red Glitter 4. Emily - A variety of GLITTERY colors!!! 5. Amanda - Black with Pink Dots 6. April - TBD 7. Amanda - Black + white swirls 8. Stacey - Embossed

Maybe someone can pick the theme of brads for the circle journals??? And then maybe someone else can pick popsicle sticks if we do that swap???
Or maybe I should just do those myself and not push my ideas on everyone else!!!
So many maybes..............hehe

Anyone else interested? These are fun and really easy to do! Like I said, I just used up the last of mine - it's nice having something different once in a while! And as for spraypaints - you should SEE the cool ones they have at Joanns (50%off coupons!) or even Aco!

darn Sarah, I swore I wouldn't do any more swaps for now but this one looks so easy! okay, count me in.
Are you talking about the brads that you'd get in an office supply store (like staples)...commonly referred to as "paper fasteners"? or real SB brads?

LOl, these are easy to do!
Just use regular scrapbook brads - not the mini ones, but not the HUGE ones (the bazzill 25mm or whatever). About a 1/4 head is good - big enough to scratch the surface and paint, but not too big! I'll try to take a pic tonight and get it on here.
This is fun, creative and easy!!! If you go the spray paint route, they have SOOOO many colors now - krylon brand - it's overwhelming. The textured ones are pretty sweet!
I'll sign you up - whenever y'all pic your colors, just let me know!!!
SMILES!
p.s. Leftover spraypaint could be good on disco balls (LOL!)

I'm actually going to try embossing powder and see if it works. If it does, there will be a variety from me LOL!

Hi Sarah, i would like to take another spot if thats okay. I made some at work last night -- black with white swirls. It was fun, kept me busy. It gets pretty boring at the home when they are all asleep
