Sarah, can I emboss instead of paint? I LOVE doing this and it gives some really neat results.

Sure, I'll look through my embossing powders and see which one will look cool. I'm thinking Cupcake or Monet.

Ok this swap is offically closed. I will pm you my address.
Final Details: You are to paint 80 brads total for this swap. They will be divided up - 10 per person (8 people total).
Please bag each group of 10 individually and label the baggie with your name and user name and the words, "Painted Brad Swap."
The ABSOLUTE deadline for these is March 15th. They should be in my hands at that time. If for any reason you can't meet the deadline, just let me know. We can work something out.
When packaging these, bag up the 8 individual bags in a sandwich size baggie. Label that baggie with your name and addresss. Trust me, after my last post office incident, I'm nervous and having that inner baggie labeled could be a lifesaver! Mail it to me with a return envelope with ENOUGH POSTAGE for me to mail it back to you. Please put 2 additional stamps in your package JUST IN CASE. I would suggest adding on delivery confirmation to both packages - the one to me and the one back. It's about sixty cents more and worth it.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
SMILES and have fun!

Woohoo! I'm finished with 10! The embossing takes a while because you need to "double-dip" them to get good covereage so you really need to do one at a time. Yikes!
I selected an embossing powder called "Essence of Monet" from Orbitz. It is a mix of blue, purple and green. Looks really cool!

Sweet, I'll be watching!
Amanda - yours are here ALREADY!!! I guess I'm used to mailing to my brother in Winnipeg - takes a little longer LOL
First of all - your brads are SOOOO darn cute!!!! WOW! Absoutely adorable! Ladies - you're going to LOVE them!
Second of all - I'll see what it is to mail this swap back to you and send you the difference in Canadian back.
Third - YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh, I can't believe you sent Coffee Crisps (sniff, sniff). They are one of my ALL-TIME FAVS! They remind me of my Grandpa - they were his favorites and I was so happy when he moved back to Canada for a while. I'd go visit and we'd eat coffee crisp together! I'm going to eat one in honor of him right now! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a work note - I got my brads today - I can start on them soon! WHOO HOO!
SMILES and THANK YOU AGAIN!

Yay! They made it!
Yup, that's embossing powder. I press the brad into the embossing stamp pad and then do one layer of powder and then a second while the first is still wet. I think it looks better than with just one layer of powder. It takes longer cause you're doing them all individually but it's worth it!
