Okay, here is the scenario.
I'm driving on a one lane road (you know where you have one lane and the one next to you goes the other way). All of the sudden I see berries (slang for cop-lights). Anyway, I PULL OFF the road onto the shoulder cause that's what you are SUPPOSED to do. Well the 2 jackasses behind me did not. They kept driving on the shoulder and merely caused the cop to pull out over into the other lane in order to go around them.
So, me being the good person that I was attempting to be went to get back over into the lane. Do the two (insert bad language) folks slow down to let me back into traffic? These are the same two askclowns that were behind me that did NOT yeild to the emergency vehicle. I did, yet, they just blasted around me.
What planet are these askholes from? Seriously?
Tomorrow we'll cover people who do not yeild to pedestrians. We'll examine which planet THEY are from.
HMPF!

Did you know - ok, a couple of things LOL
First of all - my friend did not yeild when we were in high school and was creamed by a fire truck. She was ticketed and lost her license for a few years! Bad bad situation
Here, you do NOT have to pull over to the right side of the road anymore. I had a hissy fit one day when DH and I were driving and I was screaming and gesturing at the other drivers who jsut DEAD STOPPED where they were - heck, all lanes were blocked. The new laws say that you are to stop where you are, period. The emergency vehicles will go around you. I swear, I don't know how my husband does it on days he drives the engine. I would just run over those idiots in my way!
Now, that does help the idiots in your state who KEPT DRIVING. GRRRR
It's no wonder why I hate to drive now....

Well HMPF! I did NOT know that! I guess too many people were just "slowing down". I find that to be a REALLY dumb law though because if you think about it what if cars on opposing sides of the street both stop and a fire truck or other EV does not have enough room to get by. To me you should PULL THE HECK OVER! I mean, it doesn't take THAT much longer to pull over and wait!
How about those people who speed up to "outrun" the emergency vehicles...that's just dumb for the obvious - increasing spead and sirens can cause confusion with other drivers and you may end up causing an accident!
Just pull over and be patient....I bet those people who DON'T do that would feel differently if it were them! They'd want everyone to yeild if their houses were on fire or someone in their house had an emergency! Ya know!?
That is horrible about your friend (on so many levels!)
