Ok, so my grades are due TOMORROW and I haven't started them, but I have to share this book I got. It's called, "Kaleidoscope: Ideas + Projects to Spark Your Creativity." by Suzanne Simanaitis It caught my eye at the bookstore and flipping through it, it looked awesome. When I got home and read the intro, I thought, "Uh, Oh, I wasted my money." The author rambled about her zine on the web and I thought, "how is this going to spark my creativity?" But, I have the 20 page rule - if it's not good after 20, it's ok to walk away. So, I sat down and read a section a day the past few days. I really like it. There are all different authors in here. The chapters are Identity, mark Making, Sanctuary, Imagination, Reinvention and Obstacles. Some things are like diary entries from various people that get you thinking, some seem like they are a weekly column or something and some are cool projects. It's definitely different - it's like a zine on paper LOL I've gotten some neat ideas - here's the link www.amazon.com/Kaleidoscope-Ideas-Projects-Spark-Creativity/dp/1581808798/sr=8-1/qid=1170200602/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-0980059-7499659?ie=UTF8&s=booksAnywho - I'm slowly making my way through it - I'm going to send it to Ruby next, but if it's something you see while out and about and you DON'T want to spend the money on it - we can alway start a bookclub/swap/loan LOL

sarah,
sounds like and interesting read. You'll have to show us the results of this in your work. I went to the link and then I saw the ATC books referenced below...was tempted, yes very tempted, to get one of those...I admit I'm turning into an ATC junkie LOL

I LOVE ATC's and I am thinking of hosting a new creative ATC swap (be on the lookout!), but I don't know what to do with them all!!! I thought about storing them in one of those little band-aid tins or something... but I don't know...

The swap I am hosting on the other board is about to generate close to 50 new cards but I'm ready as have another similare siz wooden box ready to go. I am considering getting one or two of the new Stamping Up plain binders to decorate so can put them in there. I do have some rather bulky ones though, so not sure if they would fit and I like having them grouped as to theme. If you do an ATC I'm in...

Liz - I have the ATC book too - it's really good. If you have a Barnes and Noble by you, they should have it on the shelf. There are some ELABORATE cards in there, but cool to look at. I LOVE how they give you all the different techniques to use!
