I love the website: www.shabbyprincess.com and it has a great new album called "in the grove". It's a "piece of cake" album. It's just as cute as the other kits! Visit it and look at all their great digi scrappin stuff! www.shabbyprincess.com Hugs,

I love shabby princess!!! Even if you don't do much digital scrapping, it's a good place to go to find elements for cute signatures, etc

I haven't dabbled in Digital Scrapbooking yet at all (even though I do an almost all digital yearbook now!). I do, though, LOVE the weekly digital "scrapbook" that "2sweetmom" was doing on the other site. That thing is cool and I'd love to even do it on paper! I need to find the time to come up with the template! www.memorymakersmagazine.com/forum/photos/photo-thumbnails.asp?albumid=774That's the link if you haven't seen it!

I couldn't get shabby princess to load :-( I tried and tried! I did do a template like Carrie did in the above link, but I'm doing it on paper - in an album for 2007 instead of digitally. I'd love to see this website though...

I don't do digital layouts either and probably never will but I really admire those who do. They are amazing and look like they were done on paper. Maybe I'll checkout the site to find things I might be able to use on my paper layouts.

Some people have the impression that digital is the "easy way out" but honestly, digital isn't that easy. It still involves doing things with your hands, but just with the click of the mouse. You have to still be very creative to do digital LO's and stuff. I was a graphic design major for a long time and I took lots of classes on digital imagining, so it's not so hard for me since I've been trained a lot. I personally would rather do paper LO's simply because I'm a hands on girl..... but if it's for the sake of getting something done quickly, I'll go digital.... it's not as messy!

i know we do our Yearbook layouts 100% digitally, flatten them and turn them into pdfs and submit them and it's HARD! I can imagine that scrapbooking is the same!

By the way, the banner that is shown above was made from elements from Shabby Princess

I'll probably never do digital because I spend all day on my computer designing system front ends. When I scrap, I kind of want to be away from my computer. Plus, I have all this amazing paper and these neat tools that would just gather dust!

Yeah, I don't make digi LO's but I like to make banners, etc with digi elements. I like the hands on approach a lot more!!!

I have really tried doing digi scrapbooking but, it absolutely is not for me! I get side tracked to easily. So, if its in my hands in front of my face - I am more likely to get it done!

Curious!!
So, if you scrap on a 12x12 but, dont have a 12x12 printer do you just take the 81/2 x 11 page you printed and mount to the 12x12 paper! Or do you just make another book for 81/2 x 11!
Plus, is it cost effective to do this for those of you that do it? My cartridges to replace in my HP printer run me about $60.00 (I know I need a printer that the cartridges are cheaper). But, thats a little further down on the list at the moment! So, I think it would cost me more money to digital scrapbook than the hands on way. The time I did do a few pages my ink was gone before I knew it!

Jana, If you want to print but ar limited in print size, yes you could always d o8 1/2 by 11 OR you could do a 8x8 and mount it on 12x12 and maybe decorate a border on the 12x12 or something to fill in the gap. I never print digital layouts. I just do stuff in digital for fun. If I did however do digital, I'd probably take it to Kinkos or maybe Archivers to print.
