Well, i had to break down and buy a new monitor finally - I cant complain, my HP lasted a long time. I just couldnt keep leaning forward allthe time to see it -was too small. So this weekend i got a 19" flatscreen at office depot.
Oh My GOD
is all i can say. Holy cow! I can actually work on an entire image and see it all at one time without having to scroll up and down! And I can see the whole photo and make appropriate color corrections at the same time - wow!
I think its opened a whole new world of photoshop for me! i love it - LOVE IT!
did i mention i am blown away? lol! m

Was it expensive? That's the next thing that will go on our computer. We also seem to buy things in parts LOL! Our monitor is an HP that was a display model, so I'm not expecting it to last forever. Boy, would I LOVE a flatscreen! We have the new MACS at work - I come home and want to cry lol!

$239 - and a bargain for the eyestrain and backstrain its saving me, for certain! and i learned something about the flatscreens... In LCD, there is a speed factor for how fast the screen will regenerate. there are 2ms, 5 ms, 8ms... with the 8ms being the fastest... and that is one of the features of this model, making even that much "more better" when you are working on photoshop. Thumbs up! easy plug and play, easy install - I have windows 2000, but it will work with Vista too. I'm very pleased with it!

Congratulations! Hubby's all about LCD's here, so all of our computer monitors (about 6 or so) and all of our tv's (5) are LCD flat screens. Not only do they take up a lot less room, but I guess they use less energy too.

I made the move to an HDTV last summer, and i was really impressed with the picture clarity -
I dont know why it didnt occur to me sooner that my scrapping life would be a lot easier if i did the same in there too... lol!
