For those of you who participate on the MM boards you might know that I'm on a "scrapbook stuff buying diet." I need to chill out b/c I've been buying so much lately. Well last week I special ordered one of those Making Memories tag maker punches along with an extra large heart punch from my LSS. Today I went to pick it up and I ended up spending an additional $30 in stuff! UGH! I'm hopeless!!! I swear someone needs to steal my keys so I don't go out buying! Dare I say it...I think I'm an addict! Or a hoarder! lol Although I'm leaning towards addict b/c by definition hoarding is just having something just to have it but I'm using what I buy...eventually. I just have this "itch" to go scrapbook shopping. I've got plenty of stuff but there's always something that I can find. I'll go into a store for one thing and within minutes find a whole basket full of stuff that I can't live without (even though 5 minutes ago I didn't even know it existed!) lol For Mother's day I told my husband that I wanted to go to the east side so I can visit Archiver's (it's about a 45 minute drive so it really is only a special occasion type thing...I can't go all the time) but after today I told him that I don't think it's a good idea. We'll see...he may offer anyway...he's like that but I'm going to try to put it out of my head and not mention it again b/c I really shouldn't go in there...I'll just end up dropping another bomb on stuff I can live without. My budget can't afford this! lol Please tell me I'm not alone....

well, nicole, that settles it. You need to run away from home, and come spend a couple days with me in hilton head. I will have to discipline you by locking you up in my scrap room with me and making you create something with all the fun things you have been buying!
Its easy to get in a creative rut and try to pull out of it with retail therapy - is that what's ging on with you, girlie? LOL!

Actually, I've been creative with what I've bought lately. Like yesterday I bought 6 new Stickles glitter glues and last night I opened and used 4 of them on a few LOs that I have been working on. At least I felt like what I got wasn't a waste. I also picked up some brads that I'm planning to use very soon. I got some other things that I just liked, paper, stickers, but I know I'll use them eventually. There have been times in the past though where I'd just go shopping b/c I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do. I'd hope to get inspired but I'd get home and not be anymore inspired but a little more broke! lol So, at least this time that's not what it is...it feels better to be buying stuff that I'm using but it still makes me feel a little bit guilty for not being able to stick to the goal that I set for myself. It's only been a week!

Um I have the problem of buying stuff and not using it. I think in the past 3 months I've spent over $1000 on scrapping goods, and half of it is unused. I see things that I think will be cute on a paper bag album or something to sell on ebay, and now I'm WAYYYYYY backed up! lol And I just keep buying!!!
Congrats on buying stickles and actually using them Nicole!!! I do believe I have every color and I DO use them!!! Actually, I use them all the time! I buy mine from a lady on the Cricut message board, but she also has an ebay site and sells them for very cheap. I think like $1.75 a bottle, they are $2.25 where I usually get them.
I think my big problem is PAPER!!!! I have way too much and I need to put it to use!!! I'm really wanting to buy the new K & Co stuff that is botique looking so I can do my wedding album, but my pics still haven't come in, so what good would it be to buy the paper? lol

That's a great price on the Stickles Emily. I didn't know they sold for so much. I got mine for $1.69 and they weren't even on sale. Everything in her store is 15% off retail price. Her store is the only place I've ever been able to find them close by. None of the giant superstores sell them.

Wow! And I thought I got a good deal! lol Actually, you probably live near Columbus, right? They sell stickles at Archiver's there. But they are $2.25 so i'd continue going to the store where you are getting them at a good price!!!!

I would actually be happy to host a little Scrapfriends retreat here if anyone would like to come! I used to belong to a board called Girls Interrupted, and we had a scrapweekend at my house - about 8 gals make the mecca. What a great time that was! We all had a blast! m

Are these Stickles made by Ranger? Ot are there different kinds? And is it just glitter glue?
The reason I ask is because I just got a three pack of stickles made by Ranger at Joann's for $3.59 ----- all adhesives were 40% off.
Did I get the right kind?

Yes Ruby, they are made by Ranger. They are like a glitter glue. I wouldn't consider them an adhesive, but if they gave you a discount then that's cool!!!

Glad I didn't buy any there! lol Last time I was there I didn't even know about them so wouldn't have been looking for them. I'm going to price anything I want before I make any trips over there against the local place. If there's anything I want, she can special order it for me even if she doesn't carry it (like she did with the punch) and if it'll be cheaper from her, I'll just have her do that. She doesn't charge any extra to special order. Do you know how much the Ranger Dabbers usually run? She has those for $2.65 each (or somewhere in the price range) and I don't know if that's a good price or not since I've never seen them anywhere else.

WOW! Was that a sale or are they regular price? That price is just for 1. I can't confirm that's exactly the right price but I know they're around $2.50...$2.65 is the price I remember in my head though.

LOL, Emily needs to start a hoarders section on this board. I'm out of control - well, I've been grounded a while now and only gotten a few things here and there, but I'm out of storage space - I have a WHOLE room and I'm out of space. And dabber and stickles - LOVE to play with them but I'm grounded - can't buy LOL!
