Okay - how about puzzle pieces - I have some blank ones and I bought some the other day that was already decorated. So, I decided I want to make my own - For embellishments .

I think they are fun and different - I guess the shape makes it a little more complicated. But, fun trying to tackle it!

lol, i altered my bathroom mirror (i used 1 scrapbooking item - glitter). Does that count? It DID turn out AWESOME!!!! I sanded and primed the wood (it was a tri-mirror med. cabinet), broke up iridescent tiles, glues them around the perimeter, caulked it all in with giltter mixed in the caulk and VOILA - a BEATIFUL mirror that matches my stripe of tiles in the shower!

Here is another item that I have altered/made from scratch. It's a purse album. I forgot all about making this until Sarah showed me some purse albums that she would like to use for a CJ. Here's the one I made: If I can remember the instructions to make one, I will type them up and post it on here for those who are interested in making one It's really simple!

I wish I would have kept those AOL tins that they used to send!! Those would have been awesome to alter, plus they sell them at Archivers for $2!!!! Would have been cheaper to alter the free ones!

That purse is adorable Em!!! I'm not much of an alterer. I did do a wreath for my door for Christmas out of coasters:
