Ok ladies - I wanted to run an idea by you all and see if anyone would be interested in doing something like this...
I don't know if anyone here reads Stamper's Sampler at all... its a Stampington publication, and they always have cool cards and great artist interviews and stuff. And they are always looking for submissions for a section in their mag that they puclish every issue. Its called "Different Point of View".
Basically, the object is people have the same stamp or one person make a bunch of differnt cards with the same stamp, and using stamping and whatever other techniques, they have multiple looks done with the same image. It's very cool!
They take submissions on this all the time, and they encourage groups to submit to them for this very idea. Here is the call they have on thier website fr it:

A Different Point of View!
How many different looks can you get from one stamp? We’re looking for submissions from our readers using the Different Point of View idea. Find your favorite versatile image and create 10 to 12 samples/projects using that image or a portion thereof. You can do it yourself or invite your local club to join you. There is no deadline – we’ll be taking submissions for this challenge on an on-going basis. Start your own DPOV challenge today!

I was wondering - would anyone like to do this as a group and submit? If we got picked up we could get a great plug for the board for Emily too. What if we found a cool stamp that a bunch of us liked, and we all made 1 card, and sent them all together for this ongoing call? You all could even mail them to me and I would send them in together, if you like, so that way they know they are all coming from one source.
It might be pretty fun! And they would send us back our cards if we send self addressed enveloped - OR, they will donate teh cards to a very wothry cause if we dont ask for them back. They send cards to troops in Iraq a lot, from what I understand.
If anyone wanted to do this, we would have to pick a theme that would match up well with one of their upcoming mags - maybe something seasonal or something.
what do you gals think? anyone want to explore this as a fun idea to try?
Here's a link to their call page for all the publications they do - they have a ton going, if anyone if interested in submitting. They have some really lovely altered style publications, and serve everything from dolls to clothes to stamping to whatever. I dig 'em! Gosh, they even have a call going for altered barbi dolls for one of the mags.
